FROM THE HIBERNATION OF THE CANADIAN ICE, SOLAR AQUA RETURNS TO LIGHT.

Watch brand created in the early 1900s by Timothy Eaton, North American retail industry tycoon, Solar Aqua, after serving the

Canadian royal forces with high precision and reliability models, fell into a mysterious lethargy that seemed with no return, at least

until today.

U-BOAT Group melts the ice that has kept the brand hibernated for decades and brings it back to light by making it enter among

the watch brands of the holding, positioning it alongside the now famous U-BOAT and L. Kendall.

It was the end of the 19th century when, at the beginning of an empire in the department stores, Mr. Eaton decided to develop

and produce, under its namesake brand first and the Solar Aqua brand after a few years, a series of excellent watches with a

Swiss heart but mainly for the North American market.

Obtained full reputation during the Second World War, the brand lost its traces with an aura of mystery and definitively with the

definitive closure of the Eaton's department store chain in 1999.

Today Solar Aqua sees back the light in its 2.0 version and therefore enters the market with three models, available in various

colours and materials, which celebrate the historic brand, revisiting the technical characteristics that made it famous in a modern

key, without forgetting the pure Canadian background and the precision of the Swiss engeneering.

We start with the Mishipeshu model, inspired by the mythological dragon-shaped marine creature that legendarily lives in the

depths of the Great Lakes in the U.S.A and Canada and protects its natural ecosystem; a diver watch with a 44mm diameter

316L steel case also available in the PVD Black version. The watch can reach the bottom of the deepest of the lakes, the Superior

Lake, which is 406 meters long and has been tested to greatly exceed its limit, a mention that stands out under the historic sunshaped

logo on the dial (> 406).

The latter is available, under the sapphire crystal, in three colours from black, to green and blue, characterised by superluminova

indexes and spheres and surrounded by the rotating bezel, inevitable for a pro-diver, in steel and ceramic too, in the

aforementioned shades, creating different style combinations also with the mesh steel and rubber straps for a total of 14 versions

between steel and black PVD cases.

A visible case-back allows you to glimpse the Swiss automatic movement designed for Solar Aqua and the 44 mm case boasts a

characteristic screw-down crown as well as a valve for the gradual release of helium. Mishipeshu gives way to another diver

model with even more specific performance for professional diving, the Deep Bay, that could be able to touch the bottom at

2156 meters of the famous Baffin Bay, between the west coast of Greenland and Baffin Island in the Arctic Circle as explained on

the dial (< 2156). Watch with 45 mm brushed steel case boasts a unidirectional steel bezel with ceramic inserts, sapphire crystal

and two types of dials: one black and one blue in the upper half that fades to black in the lower part; both characterized by

superluminova indexes and hands.

With a screw-down caseback to ensure high resistance to water pressure, Deep Bay is also characterized by a helium release

valve and the steel bracelets and rubber straps both completing the robust and marked design of the timepiece.

From the depths of the lakes we pass to the highest peaks of North America with the latest model, the Primatist, which completes

the proposal of the new Solar Aqua, an aviator-style watch with a 42 mm case in steel and PVD Black versions that still boasts a

visible caseback and a waterproofness to 100mt. Different colors of the dial from blue, to green, to black respectively with Arabic

numerals or indexes characterize a wide choice that takes the form of a total of 12 models available both with leather and mesh

steel straps. A watch brand that stops to be a legend to become reality again, which tells of a history and a tradition that could not

be forgotten and that deserves to be told with a modern look and towards the future, welcome back to Solar Aqua!
