EXAEQUO MELTING WATCH
Directly inspired by the stylistic elements of the Surrealist movement on its centenary, and by a concept of fluid and unconventional time, the melting watches continue to fascinate with the rebirth of the Exaequo brand.
On one hand, the idea of fluid and subjective time that can be distorted and manipulated by human perception, reflecting the ephemeral nature of life and the fragility of existence.
On the other hand, a visual expression of the unconscious and the dream world, challenging the laws of rationality and, typical of surrealism, contrasting the conventions and structures of society and dominant thought.
Different meanings for a strong and intriguing symbol that continues to provoke discussions and interpretations among art scholars and enthusiasts. Exaequo is reborn today, also in celebration of the Surrealist Manifesto dated 1924, and launches these creations, always inspired by "surrealism," to captivate with updated stylistic elements, both aesthetic and functional. These include cases with asymmetrical and sinuous lines, available in versions with satin-finished 316L steel and PVD gold treatment.
The oval shape of the Exaequo Melting Watch, flattened in the central part, with a length of approximately 47mm and a maximum width of about 28mm, presents a rounded crown on the right side for easy time adjustment.
On the two-level dial, protected by a domed plastic glass, five dial shades, namely blue, black, white, green, and gold, are available in both steel and gold case versions. They boast Roman numerals and contrasting indices, harmonizing with the lines of the case and completing the decidedly surrealist mood.
On the back, the caseback, allowing for watch personalization, is secured by four screws ensuring water resistance up to 30 meters depth and the possibility of easily changing the battery and if necessary, the entire electromechanical Ronda 751 movement.
The design of the Melting Watch is complemented by a smooth leather strap for the steel version and a crocodile print one for the golden version, both in harmony with the dial colors, with tone-on-tone stitching, and buckle clasps also in perfect "hypersoft" style.
With Exaequo, surrealist culture comes back to life on the wrists of enthusiasts and those seeking a cult object that highlights their uniqueness and identity, offering a timeless icon of style and culture under the motto "Embrace Uniqueness"
